Data Engineering Architect (Remote – Latam)

We are looking for Senior Data Engineer, prepared and ready for new and exciting challenges as an architech in our team. This professional must have expertise assuming a critical role in shaping an organization’s data infrastructure and ensuring that it can support data-driven decision-making and business operations effectively.

Academic requirements/training:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering.
• Advanced English

Specific technical knowledge:

• MongoDB
• On-Prem and Cloud enviroments
• SQL Server, Python
• Snowflake Data Cloud, S3 data lake, Apache, Airflow, DBT.
• Cloud Platforms (AWS)
• Agile development using Scrum or Kanban Methodology

Desirable Skills:

• PostgreSql or other SQL Database
• Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
• Reside in Colombia or Costa Rica

Required experience responsibilities:

• Design and oversee the implementation of the data infrastructure and transformation of the data platform.
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance, setting goals and ensuring successful project execution.
• Choose the right technologies, tools and frameworks for data engineering.
• Develop and mantain a robust data architecture that align with the organization business objectives.
• Define and enforce data quality standards, governance, policies, and data lineage.
• Work closely with data scientists, analyst and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure that data engineering solutions align with the organization’s analytical and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with senior management to define a data strategy.

• Hours: From Monday to Friday, (UTC-5, Flexible)
• Modality: Remote Position (Latam)
