Data Delivery Manager (Hybrid - Madrid)
We are looking for a Data Delivery Manager to lead a team of engineers responsible for delivering reliable and high-quality data solutions within a complex, service-oriented environment. This role combines technical leadership, operational management, and team development, ensuring service excellence and alignment with business objectives.
The selected professional will guide day-to-day delivery, mentor engineers, and act as the first point of contact for technical and process escalations. Working closely with international teams in Mexico and the United States, the Data Delivery Manager will ensure coordination, efficiency, and continuous improvement under the direction of the Delivery Director.
Technical Requirements and Knowledge
Education: Degree in Computer, Software, or Systems Engineering (or a related technical field).
Experience:
7+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, or data platform management.
3+ years in technical leadership or delivery management roles.
Hands-on experience in SLA-driven operations, incident/problem/change management (ITIL), and process improvement.
Technical Expertise:
Data Platforms: Advanced experience with Snowflake.
Data Pipelines: Proficient with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL/ELT workflows.
Databases: Strong SQL skills for data transformation and performance optimization.
Automation & Orchestration: Familiar with Control-M or similar schedulers.
Tools: ServiceNow (ITSM), Azure DevOps (SDLC), and Azure Pipelines (CI/CD).
Leadership & Methodology:
Fluent in English, with excellent communication and coordination skills.
Proven experience leading teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
Comfortable managing delivery within multi-country or multi-vendor contexts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high-performing data engineering team, managing workloads and priorities.
Ensure technical quality, process adherence, and timely delivery of data solutions.
Act as the main escalation point for technical or operational issues, driving effective resolution.
Monitor SLA/KPI performance, conduct root cause analyses, and promote continuous improvement.
Coordinate activities with global delivery teams to maintain consistency and efficiency.
Provide transparent updates to management and participate in governance and operational reviews.
