Quality Assurance Specialist

This role is ideal for a professional with 3-4 years of experience who is interested in pursuing leadership opportunities and complementary training to advance beyond a senior-level position.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee quality control tests and inspections for food, beverages, and supplements, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Lead the analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Develop, implement, and improve quality assurance protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain and oversee documentation related to quality testing, audits, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a mentor and provide guidance to junior quality assurance team members.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring all quality requirements are met.
  • Stay informed on industry advancements and implement best practices in food safety and biotechnology.

Requirements

Academic/Training

  • Minimum Academic Training: Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Additional certifications in food safety, quality management, or related areas.

Experience

  • 3-4 years of experience in quality assurance or control, particularly in the food, beverages, and/or supplements industry.

Skills

  • Proficiency in English (advanced level required).
  • Strong expertise in quality control processes and food safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor team members effectively.
  • Analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with advanced laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
  • Proactive approach to learning and willingness to pursue complementary training.

Job Details

  • Type of Contract: Direct hire, indefinite period.
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime, full-time schedules only.
  • Work Modality: On site position
  • Locations: Santiago de Queretaro
