Profile: Data Engineer

Training

  • Minimum academic education: Complete university, equivalent to university baccalaureate or higher.
  • Primary professional training area: Computer Science, Systems, or related Engineering.
  • Secondary vocational training area: Data Engineer.

Specific technical knowledge desired (it is not necessary to have all of them)

  • SQL, MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres.
  • AWS Redshift.
  • Python.
  • RDS.
  • AWS EMR, Apache Spark/Flink, Hive, etc.

Practical experience required to perform the position

  • At least 3 years in a similar role and technical stack.
  • Strong SQL and query optimization.
  • Administration and tuning of relational databases such as, MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres, AWS Redshift/RDS.
  • Strong experience in Python.
  • Strong experience with BA Tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker and Alation.
  • Experience collecting system metrics and building dashboards.
  • Experience working in clouds such as AWS.
  • Knowledge of data processing services like AWS EMR, Apache Spark/Flink, Hive, etc.
  • Experience collecting service metrics and building operations dashboards.

  • Workplace: This is a fully remote position (from Spain). 100% WFH (candidates must live/travel in Spain).
